I'm so excited to share with you PJ's first Valentine for his preschool class.
I wanted to make something that he'd get a kick out of. Ever since he was little he'd walk around the house, choose a spot and say "Dig dig dig" while making digging motions on the floor. The kid was stoked when he got his first shovel. I knew something shovel themed would the trick.
As far as supplies go you will need:
The printable provided below
Ribbon
Scissors
Small Shovels
Candy
Cellophane Bags
It goes together rather quickly. I like to do things assembly line style to I precut all of my ribbon. In order to get the cute dent in the ribbon you fold the ribbon in half and then cut it at an angle. You can see how in the picture below.
Place the shovel in the bag.
Next you will put the printable in on top of the shovel.
And then you add the candy. I know a lot of schools are really picky about handling candies etc. So I made sure not to touch the conversation hearts as I was pouring them in on top of the shovel.
Then I gathered the bag below the handle and tied the ribbon on with a single knot.
See? It was super simple and quick! I love those kinds of projects, don't you?
Here is the printable that you are welcome to use for yours.
Please note, all printables and tutorials are for personal use only. To get the printable right click on the picture and save it to your desktop.
That's really cute Jess!
